New year (changes)

So almost everyone I know sets a resolution for the new year, but lets all be honest how often do we "get" to those resolutions? This year I have decided to make "changes" not resolutions! 2012 is going to be a WISER year! Here is our list of changes!

2012 Changes!

1. Becoming debt free! Love the way that sounds!!!
2. Eating out less (part of becoming debt free! and lets be honest I need to learn to cook!)
3. Cooking more often
4. Getting better at crocheting

I think that I am going to end my list there! If you know me you know achieving those goals would be quite an accomplishment! Oh, but there is one that I left off....

This year I am riding in the 2012 Tour De Cure, it is to raise money for diabetes research I will be doing the ride in place of my dad, whom has done this ride the last 2 years but due to gout he is unable to this year! I am riding with my mom, so we will get some AWESOME quality time together training and my wonderful husband has committed to helping me ride during the week (he is going to ride with me during the week) to help me train! I am so excited. If you are in the donating mood please visit my page http://main.diabetes.org/goto/ anyand all donations are appreciated! Thank you!!!!angelalooney

1. we did the garden! things bloomed, but alas the only "crop" we had was Tomatoes! everything else just bloomed and didn't produce???
2. Jackson turned 2, Well now he is almost 2 1/2 and BUSY and OPINONATED.
3. We almost got a new dog but didn't and boy I am sure glad that we didn't!
4. I have not tried to make my own clothes detergent yet... call me lazy if you wish LOL
5. I am putting together a new wish list to post on here! I am hoping to have some more posts before the new year!
6. Brett bought me a new camera in hopes that I would start taking more pictures and stop taking Jackson to get his pictures done (he isn't a nice boy when you take him for pictures!) but 2 months after we bought it I dropped it. EEEEKKKKK well its on the way to being fixed as we speak. Do you think I'll get it back before Christmas? yeah me either!

Wow!

Time has passed so quickly I can't believe it has almost been a month since I have blogged last.

Here is what is new with us, Jackson got a swing set and it is huge! I don't really have a great picture of him playing on it but here is a picture of it in our back yard right after it was finished. It took Brett, Andrew (friend) and Chip (Brett's mom's husband) and Kevin whom was such a huge part of it all we wouldn't have gotten a thing done (cough cough) a whole day and a half to finish it! WOW, but it looks amazing and Jackson loves it!

.

In other news, in my ripe old age of ..... 26 I had to go get glasses! BUMMER but I think that they look super cute! Tell me what you think.

So my BIL, SIL and nephew moved to Tampa, so nice to finally have them close!!! I have been really enjoying time with them and trying to help them get settled into their new house! I just hope that we have them a lot longer than Ohio got to have them.

Jackson is talking up a storm now, we can't understand everything which is kind of funny. He knows where his eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and teeth are but he won't tell you what they are. He can show you a fish, dog, and cat, but he again won't tell you what they are. He is a man of very few words. LOL So I guess that kinda gets you caught up on what is going on with us. I haven't neede to make my own batch of laundry detergent yet so I will post when I do.

With Love

Bad, bad blogger.

So since I was pretty busy at work last week and I don't get on the internet at home unless absolutley necessary you get to reap the benefits (lol) of only having one (or 2) massive posts today.

I am going to start off with a little tribute to King George!

Now for one of my most favortie songs... Thank you Randy Travis!

Now for some timeless hits

Words cannot describe this song : )

Too many full time positions!

I do not cook, I often say it is because I don't have time. Since I have a full time job and I am also a mommy and wife and we also travel about 60 miles a day to and fro work, I am always looking for the easiest way out for dinner.
Since I decided to take on the task of being more budget friendly and growing some of our own veggie : ) let's hope anyways, I decided to up my game on the cooking front.

Yesterday I tried out a reciepe I found online that sounded good but I just wasn't sure if it was going to be a hit in my little family. I made a mexican casserole, it has everything that you need in it! I wish I had taken a minute to take a picture of it but maybe I will get better at doing such!

2 cans croissant rolls
2lbs ground beef or turkey
1 med. onion
1 can of rotel
1 pkg. taco seasoning
8 oz Mexican velveeta sliced

Brown beef/turkey with onion, drain. Add rotel and taco seasoning. In a 9X13 pan or casserole dish roll out 1 can of croissant, mush edges together, add meat, add sliced velveeta. Roll out the other can of croissant rolls. Bake at 400 for 20 mins.

We made some refried beans to go along with.

Yummy!!!
